Her underhanded snide comments seemed to slip completely past his notice as his eyes never left the screen. "Why is he alive?" Auran asked, tone almost not even directed towards her, his mind tirelessly working. He adjusted a few of the settings and watched the stasis fluid change a few hues. He paced over to a subject that had undergone a similar procedure to his brother, now dead in the stasis tube, frozen unlike the other floating live subjects. Auran reviewed the screens for that subject, the information on this subject fitting his thesis. "every other A class soul was successfully transferred to a host after we got the right parameters down, but when it came to him...." Aurans jaw set and he closed out the screen for the subject, "Its like everything we prepared for went wrong."
Yoko shrugged, "I got back what I wanted. I dont kill without cause, even though you may think me awful." He turned his back to her and tucked the mirror in a satchel on his hip. It wasnt often he found other kitsune, much less ones that were barely capable, he wanted her in his pack, but asking her wouldnt produce results.

She could feel her resentment twoards him evaporate. Ugh.The things he did to take power were not uncommon. she knew it. And her village was a easy target that was going to be taken over anyway, so she could follow him or let her pride kill her off out here in the wilderness. He'd basicky forced her into his pack to begin with sure , but allowed her to live. Even more shocking. And a second time too. Maybe she didn't have the choice she thought she did. Being his partner would mean instantaneous protection from predators.... She bit down her pride finally, walking a slow distance behinde him
" so he lived??! She tried not to let her shock show on her face. Then that must mean the soul will keep the body alive as long as it knows it's the only place for it to thrive. Not only was a walking corpse abhorrent, but dangerous as well. "you know I don't know that answer." She smiled gently. Walking to his side and placing a thin hand over his shoulder. She watched his hard face try to mull over other reasons he couldn't properly place a soul into body like it was just some simple task he should have figured out by now. She looked past him at all the pods, half bodied or full, even simple human and demon parts mashed together. " perhaps your looking at it from the wrong perspective, a soul has to accept the body you give it my Lord"

Yoko smiled mischievously but kept turned from her, letting her follow without acknowledging that she'd taken the bait and decided to follow. He turned as he hit the bottom of the hill towards his camp, curious and a bit excited to see the reactions from the rest of the pack.
Auran shrugged off her hand pacing between screens to observe the data that ticked by. "It's not like it has a brain." He snapped irritated, but the thought cut short as he stared at the screen attached to the most complicated pod. Unlike the others it was not transparent and was not unlike a living entity itself, housing the volatile soul. He watched the data roll by rapidly, the electric activity had been haywire since he had barely managed to house it in there. "What if...." He stepped in almost circles, staring at nothing, his eyes focused only on the thoughts that flew before him, "what if the soul is operating just like that, like a brain but infinitely more complicated, that would explain the electric activity, it's operating all the neural activity without the physical bounds. Like a surge without a ground." His steps became heavy as he forgot his posture and composure while his brain worked, "it wants a...a worthy host" he stared up at Hildi, not really seeing her but excited at his own epiphany.

Hilde's lips pulled into a flat line with her arms crossed over her chest. Her eyes narrowed at him slightly reminded again of why she hated him. He was wanted to play God and was able. He held a bigger wepon than either of them thought would ever be possible, and he did it with out that goal set in his mind. He was willing to scrafice his family to achive his goals. When he looked at her she made sure to put her smile back in its place, her loathing hidden. " and you figured it all out on your own" she congratulated switching to her better side, flattery.
Yoshiko was Catious when they reached it watching the theives watch her back. " not polite to stare" She pointed out breaking the a silence.

His head snapped to her disturbingly quick, his eyes narrowing almost predatory. Something seethed under his skin when he sensed her being insincere. Every time he caught disdain in her voice his skin crawled, he wasnt sure why. It possibly had something to do with the fact that she was the only being that matched his intelligence, the only one that shared motive, mindset, and he found it distasteful. (arrogant fuck) He turned his head back to his screens and grabbed a clipboard to start putting together notes. "Snide doesnt befit you Hildegarde." his lip curled as he pronounced her whole name.
Yoko headed straight for the fire where a meaty smell permiated from a beast charring over a fire. "Eiiao!" he called to a thin horned demon hunched over a pot. "When this damn beast going to be done cooking?" he asked, poking it with a stick. "I'd be cooked by the sun by now with how long that things been over the fire." He shook his head, leaning back against the pile of firewood, lifting his eyes to the very lost looking feral fox. He smiled at her, "Look what followed me home."

Yoshiko could feel all eyes on her now and heard kuronues lighthearted laugh when he sat down unhooking the beast from the fire to serve. " so the little one is back huh? Just couldn't stay away." She opened her mouth to argue but was lost to everyone when food was being served. They all hoarded around tearing Pieces and limbs, mashing and chewing the thick skin between crooked unkempt teeth and other like. She cringed, it reminding her of how they tore apart others of her village. It was obvious it would be a long while before she warned up. "Home sweet home"
" my lord? what do you think would suit me better?" She raised a thin elegant brow turning his direction, a challenge in her glare. This pompous spoiled brat was grating her nerves and almost wished she could slap that confidence of his face.

"Subservience." He sneered without hesitation, his quick scribbling scratching across the paper, he paused to impatiently tap the end of the pen along the paper. "I need contributing DNA..... this cant be compeletly artificial. He paced the lab, looking at the pods, contemplating the makeup he needed the host to be. Since it was apparently sentient and extremely volitile he presumed that he would need to create quite the deity.
Yoko chuckled, taking a piece of the meat handed to him and picking bits off with his claws. "Find a spot pup" he said relaxing in his seat.

She grudgingly forced her smile. Her eyes too sweet, the hint of irritation in her tense balled hands. She ran the tips of her fingers acrossed the edge of the scar that covered a good part of her once lovely face, tucking a strand of hair behinde her ear. She was reminded again of his malace. " I will find one then" she said fitting back neatly into her breifly forgotten role. she new she needed to play her cards more carfully.
She looked around at the other bandits, and found the safest spot down next to his right. She curled up there watching the others, and quickly drifted off into sleep. Kuronue watched her sipping his goblet of wine, his feet rested up on a stump in front of him.

Yoko tossed the now clean bone into the fire, once there was a chorus of snores Yoko took the mirror from his bag "That was all too easy" He said with a short laugh, twisting it between his fingers.
Auran didn't respond, only continued his notes. He placed the clipboard on a control panel and ran his hands through his hair. Months of static. Months of the same endless notes and numbers and finally a change, he swore he thought his brain was going to rot. A rare, genuine smile broke his features, he had spent countless time staring at his brothers barely alive body on that table, clueless and furious and now it was all pulling together.

Yoshikos eyes flittrred open to him. " Whats Yours is mine" she said tauntingly, using her forced "marriage" against him with a cool smile.
A maid came around the corner. Lizzy. She saw her master at his seat and tried to build up the strength to approach him with bad news. She fumbled with the hem of her dress.

Yoko's chuckle was dark, amused at how confidently cheeky she already seemed. "Pack rules, love, Whats mine..." He purposly let his eyes drag over her poorly covered curves, "Is ours" He corrected, his eyes leading her to the rest of the pack. (muahaha)
Auran didnt lift his eyes to acknowledge her, instead his jaw set and he continued his musings. "Are you going to haunt the corner or get out of my lab?"

She rushed forward to his side, her small feet tapping the lenolium and stopped abruptly. " I can't find him" she stressed. " no one can find saki my lord"
Glad you like to share" she said looking mortified and pulled her blanket up over her skin. She had if need be Planned to use her body to manipulate him. Now she wasn't sure it was the best move on her part. She rolled over making she she was completely covered.

He looked up from his notes, his aqua eyes darker than pitch "What?" He snapped, more disbelief than question. "Who lost track of him?" he said, his voice clipped with impatience as he set his work down and quickly made his way for the door.
Yoko's fangs slipped over his lips as his grin widened, he pushed the rounded curve of her buttocks with his toe as a final taunt before he leant back to relax again, closing his eyes as the fire warmed his face.

The maid couldn't give him a strait answer, running behinde him. " hilde sir! She told us all to leave the room, and then after that we haven't been able to find him anywhere!!"
Yoshiko woke the next morning to a lump kick in her side. " up" a theif ordered her pulling her up Off the ground by both of her wrists. Most of them were already up and ahead heading to their final destination house. ( it's like, an ariabian abandoned mansion) she groaned snapping at his hand with her teeth so her threw her back into the dirt letting her cough in the dust. She brushed her slef off glaring at him and following behind the others. She longed for a bath, wanting all the dirt Off her delicate skin. (She's kinda spoiled)

Auran felt a spark of rage before his cold control tamped it back down. He bursted from the room making quick tread down the hall. By all his calculations Saki should be sleeping off a huge burn of energy from recovery, not off and wandering the keep doing god knows what to his staff. He turned corners on a dime, his edge of anger driving him faster towards his brothers room, when he reached it he nearly threw the door from the hinges before he regained his composure, squaring his shoulders and walking in calmly.
Yoko passed her, a large bag hefted over his shoulder. "Up n' at 'em Princess, we got a ways to go." he said, heaving the bag onto a cart and making his way towards the front party, casting a placid look over his shoulder at her as he walked ahead.
